Emily and I successfully biked along the Las Vegas Strip tonight! The place to be was definitely the Venetian. Their outdoor Winter in Venice decorations include an outdoor ice skating rink with disco balls and music, a huge color-changing christmas tree and blue lights along the gondolas in the water. I thought I also saw an ice fairy when we cycled through the first time but she wasn’t there when we got back!
Winter in Vegas is cold! Tomorrow we return to Park City!
Woke up and had to check out of Stratosphere, killed two hours looking through the Vegas magazine from the hotel room and having buffet lunch at Namaste, an Indian restaurant next to Lotus of Siam, great food, excellent service. Got my oil changed (he charged me $20 cash-only but did a stellar job fixing my side mirror, and I had a luxurious rest on their leather couch in air conditioned lounge!) then met up with Joel again to wander the strip.
Explored the shopping area, workout area and pool this morning, was not impressed with any of the above, especially after so many people talking up the pools at these Vegas hotels. The Hammock Beach Resort in Florida has these guys beat hands down with their lazy river and various pools and spas. Maybe one of the more expensive resorts has something that can compete with photos I have seen of resorts in Mexico and other tropical touristy places.

Woke at 6:30am to a golden Park City sunrise. Air is chilly and crisp like autumn – closed all the windows in the bathroom, kitchen and living room, frying up the last of the 8-ball zucchini from the farmers market to take on the road. Quite satisfied with the way everything is fitting into the trunk without being cluttered.
Left home at 10am, left SLC at 10:30am, made it to Cedar City around 2:30pm, went to the Shakespeare Festival gift shop!
