Swimming, cycling, running… just three of the many sports in which I participate. Though I’m not particularly competitive, the race atmosphere is a high in its own right. I’ve decided to participate in masters swim training, organized group cycling, and official 5k runs, as well as Triathlons, when my schedule allows.
I completed my first short course triathlon the day after my 30th birthday in August and I plan to participate in more in the future. While I am not on a strict training regiment – I really just participate in these activities for the physical and mental health benefits – every time I jog, swim, or cycle, I am working towards my next event.
I am continually reading about techniques, gear, workouts, and nutrition beneficial to athletes in general, and will share some of my findings and personal struggles here.
